Vibrators, or a beginner’s experiences with tremors of pleasure

The days following Christmas are the exciting time of trying out our new gifts. What did you guys get? I was surprised by qLit with an exotic gift-basket. Let me tell you all about it!

We’re launching a new series, sponsored by  vágyaim.hu, in which we discover the world of sex toys and accessories and discuss everything and anything from lube 101 to strap-ons, anal toys and nipple clamps. What, when, which one, how, how many times, why, why not? All questions you asked in embarrassment or did not ask at all, or if you did, you couldn’t find an answer. We are going to answer it all, including the questions you didn’t even know you wanted to ask!

I’m one of many who struggle with countless inhibitions and unanswered questions when it comes to sex toys, all of which are hard to open up about. A couple of months ago I got interested in accessories, so qLit gave me a chance to experiment and get a ‘first-hand experience’ with vibrators. Here’s the story of us getting acquainted.

Cuties Mini Vibrator

I’ll start with this small thing, which isn’t only cute in name. Honestly, I instinctively grabbed this one first, but now I see that the description itself also suggests it for beginners. I was impressed even by its presentation: the charger and the 7,5 cm long and 2,5 cm diameter vibrator come in an elegant case. It has a pleasant surface, silicone, gentle on the skin. It’s important to note that while it’s easy to use for beginners too, it offers a sufficient range of functions: 7 vibration settings to stimulate the clitoris or the vagina. It worked for me really well, especially as a first experience. Its small size allows you to take it along to lonely business trips, conferences or field trips.

Don’t forget:

Two-function Vibe Clitoral and Vaginal vibrator

This dual-function clit- and vaginal vibrator came second both in the sequence of testing and my preferences- ranking. It also has a nice presentation (pretty case, velvety touch), but you need to be a little more adventurous to use it. It has 10 settings to stimulate either the clit or the vagina, but the real spicy feature is the clit stimulator part that imitates a licking tongue. First I was a little put off by the licking function, but I must admit that once I got over myself gave it a try it didn’t take long for it to win me over. So you need a little more experimental spirit and courage for this one, but the perfect bendability and the vibrating- tongue stimulation really pays off.

Don’t forget:

Satisfyer Curvy Clit Massager

A lot of people will claim that Satisfyer is the top sexual accessory brand – one of our previous articles also sings the praises of one of its products – but I’ll say that out of the three vibrators this was my least favourite. Still, I can only praise its looks: out of the three, this has the best quality presentation. This also has the most sophisticated technology: it’s a smart gadget with an award-winning app, which means you can link it to your smartphone, you can set the rhythm on it, or your partner can control it. Now I see it also has a ‘whisper’ mode, so you can keep your enjoyment low- key. That said, my experience wasn’t pleasant. I got intimidated by the selection of choices, and even worse, I couldn’t deal with its non- traditional technology: it uses air-pulses instead of vibration. Satisfyer was too complicated and too complex for me. So if you're also a beginner, I don’t suggest this as your first experience.

Don’t forget:

Read our previous articles if you’re looking for a gift, or if your secret desire is an erotic board- game, but you haven’t found the perfect one yet.
