The date for the 2024 Budapest Pride Parade is set

The 29th Budapest Pride Parade will be held on 22 June, Budapest Pride announced this morning. Everyone who wants to live in a free, accepting and democratic country is encouraged to join. The slogan remains “Take your future back”, which highlights the systemic problems (racism, housing crisis, ecological crisis, crisis of faith in democracy, homophobia, transphobia and sexism) that have different effects on society but have similar roots and are mutually reinforced, and the we need to be looking for.

The parade will be preceded by the 29th Budapest Pride Community Festival, which will be held for two weeks this year, as opposed to the usual one month: you can join the programmes between the 7th and 23rd June. The Budapest Pride Community Festival, with nearly 100 programmes organised by more than 50 NGOs, informal groups and individuals, has grown in recent years to become the largest civic festival in the country

The latest and most important information about the Budapest Pride Parade will be posted on the Facebook event page.

Every day, Budapest Pride works tirelessly to ensure that everyone in Hungary can live safely, happily and in dignity, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. This is what we believe in and what we stand for at the parade and the preceding Budapest Pride Community Festival.

Last year, a record number of people joined the march again, with a total of 35,000 people joining us on the route from City Park, and then celebrating with us until dawn. The route for the 2024 parade has not yet been finalised, but it will be followed by the country’s biggest LGBTQ party, the Rainbow Party, in Budapest Park.
